Junction update

Westham Junction retaining wall (large version)

Work to divert the utilities under Westham Junction is going well. The low voltage cable is now diverted and two high voltage cables will be diverted once the retaining wall is finished.

Work is progressing well on the reinforced concrete retaining wall on the corner of Westwey Road and Abbotsbury Road.

The second phase of traffic management, with a mini roundabout now in place, has allowed work to start on the remaining ducting.

The project team is concerned that there have been several instances of pedestrians wandering across the roundabout in amongst the cones.

This is a busy works area with exposed trenches, and pedestrians – for their own safety – should use the subways to cross under the road.
